MODARCH DESIGN started its young roots as a casual discussion amongst friends around a sidewalk table at a local watering hole in RALEIGH, North Carolina. The roots were common among us and ties of this area holds strong.
At the beginning it was a humorous thought of starting a design company. After a while it made sense.
MODARCH is the combination of the words MODern and ARCHitecture. Our design training has its roots in the Modernist thinking of architectural design.

People
Timothy William REED and Brian A. CASTO are both graduates from North Carolina State College of Design School of Architecture and also transplants from other places around the country. Timothy hails from Florida moving to Raleigh specifically to study architecture at North Carolina State. Brian hails from Ohio, relocating to this area for opportunities that it has to offer.
Approach
"Situations Designed" is our motto. Although our training is Modernist, we respect the "situations" established. Architectural design is about the context of design - factoring the site conditions of passive sustainable design, to the history and culture of the city or region influencing the traditions and asthectics of a place. Architecture is the definition of the moment, a design situated.....
